Celtic gold coin, Bad Staffelstein

"Regenbogenschüsselchen" Museum Bad Staffelstein

A copy of a so called "Regenbogenschüsselchen" a celtic gold coin was made for the Museum in Bad Staffelstein. For the 3D-Documentation a structured light scanner (Comet L3D, Steinbichler) was used. This technique is ideal for recording small objects with delicate details because of its high resolution and accuracy of measurement. The copy was printed in 3D (Layer-thickness: 0,016 mm) in cooperation with Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The endproduct was enriched by Thomas Seidenath (Bamberg, Conservator).
